Windows Bluetooth Drivers
The Windows 8.1 operating system does not have built-in Bluetooth audio drivers; drivers are instead installed together with the Bluetooth transmitter.
The AF32 uses the now-common A2DP standard but older Bluetooth drivers may not have an A2DP component. If you are unable to pair or connect your AF32, please consider updating the Bluetooth driver stack on your computer via the following this process:
-If Bluetooth is built into your PC and/or Laptop, visit the manufacturer’s website (e.g. Dell.com or HP.com) to download the most recent Bluetooth drivers for your PC. You will need to enter the service tag or exact model name of your computer to get the correct download.
-If you are using a Bluetooth dongle (external Bluetooth device that plugs into the USB port), please visit the dongle manufacturer’s site to donwload updated drivers. Often the updated drivers are included on the CD that comes with the dongle but sometimes those become outdated by the time you receive the product.
-If you don’t know the manufacturer, or can’t contact the manufacturer, you can try to install generic Bluetooth drivers linked below. However depending on your hardware configuration, we can’t guarantee it will work so this is a last resort. Generic Bluetooth driver: http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php .
Note: these drivers are not for the AF32 but rather for the Bluetooth transmitter on the computer. Under Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, the Bluetooth audio functionality is contained in that driver.
Connecting the AF32 to a Windows Computer
With the latest drivers installed, please follow these steps to pair the headset with your computer.
Note: If your AF32 has been connected to another device, such as a phone or tablet, please make sure to turn off Bluetooth on the other device when pairing/connecting the AF32 to your computer to avoid connection issues.
Note: Actual pairing and connecting process can vary depending on the Bluetooth device drivers and computer configuration.

If no devices are paired within that time, the AF32 will return to standby mode.)
- Wait until you see either “AF32” or “Bluetooth headset” in the Searching for devices area
- Select “AF32” or “Bluetooth headset” and complete the pairing process
- On some computers, it can take a few minutes for the device driver software to install completely, and a “Your device is ready to use” notification will appear in the notification area; other computers will not show this notification
